Q&A

When do you ship orders?

I do my best to drop the week's orders off on Wednesdays! Please keep in mind that reuse/recycle as much packing supplies as possible, so the inside of the package might not be the prettiest, but it will certainly be safe. If you only ordered stickers, they will go out in a standard stamped envelope. Stamped orders ship for only $1 ($2 for international)! Thank you, USPS!

In the event that a sticker order doesn't show up a month after being sent, please let me know and I'll happily send a replacement after re-confirming the address.

Are your pieces food-safe?

Unless otherwise noted, yes! Dishwasher, oven, and microwave-safe, too. However, to be extra cautious, I reccomend microwaving in 30-second increments. Some bowls might require a little more TLC when washing due to the uneven carved surface.

Do you take commisions?

Thank you for your interest, but not currently. I hope to open them up again at a later date; please keep an eye on my instagram for potential updates.

Can you ship outside of the US?

Yes, and here is the system:
All ceramic orders have an international flat rate of $30 (or $17 for small items like charms), which is on the high end of average. Once I go to purchase your shipping label, if there is a price discrepancy more than $5 I will either issue a partial refund or contact you directly with an invoice for the missing balance. (That second one is very very rare, but shipping to Australia specifically seems to get extra pricy...!)
Also, I really super appreciate it when people let me know when an item has arrived safely. It is such a terrifying honor to send my weird things off to the other side of the planet, so it's super nice to recieve human reassurance that The System Worked and it didn't fall into the ocean or anything.

I'm local to Columbus, Ohio! Can we arrange a pickup?

Sure thing! Please use to code COLUMBUS at checkout to waive shipping fees, and contact me after purchase to arrange a pickup time/location. I like to meet at coffee shops around town.

What materials do you use/what's your process?

Sometimes I experiment with new materials, but the general process is this:

All my dishes are thrown on the wheel with 308 Brooklyn Red from Standard. I then paint on a layer of B-Mix slip, and then underglaze. I carve with a set of Diamondcore Fine Point sgraffito tools. After bisque firing, I dip in a custom mix of shiny dark blue glaze, then carefully wipe it away to re-expose the carving. Sometimes I leave it raw, sometimes I add a light layer of KY MudWorks Milky Way series glazes. (Alderaan is my favorite!)
